De-Lea’s work in executive coaching reflects her purpose of creating the conditions where all people- especially historically marginalized groups- can thrive. De-Lea supports leaders and executives to lead from their vision and values, leverage their strengths, more effectively manage stress, and create the conditions to empower their team to manage through complex challenges and achieve their goals.
De-Lea brings over 20 years of leadership experience to her coaching and facilitation. In her previous role, De-Lea led the strategy for race, equity, diversity and inclusion at a large charter management organization serving over 15,000 students. Her partnership with executives and senior leaders contributed to improved student experience, staff retention, principal engagement, and an over 50% improvement in the representation of Black and Latino principals and senior instructional leaders. De-Lea has designed and facilitated training for hundreds of leaders and thousands of teachers.
Currently, De-Lea is the founder of the coaching and consulting company Higher Bar Leadership LLC. De-Lea started her career as a teacher and has over 13 years of experience as a teacher and school leader. De-Lea holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science from Columbia University, and a master’s degree in organizational leadership from Columbia University, Teacher’s College. De-Lea completed the Teleos Coach Development Program and is a member of the International Coaching Federation.
