Kendan believes in the power of collective care and intergenerational world building. His deep experience in direct service, grassroots organizing, and leadership has focused on working alongside youth and young adults to create opportunities for joy and thriving while navigating unjust systems. In addition to local roles, Kendan spent 5 years at Youth Collaboratory, providing training, coaching, and capacity building support for organizations through national systems change initiatives, as well as for the Runaway and Homeless Youth Training and Technical Assistance Center (RHYTTAC). He co-founded the Youth Catalyst Team (YCT), a national paid leadership initiative for youth/young adults with lived expertise, and worked alongside YCT members to train service providers, create tools and resources, engage in advocacy, and radically reimagine youth services and systems. Kendan holds a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education and a Masters degree in Social Work (MSW). They are an organizer for housing justice in their own neighborhood, and a volunteer for the St. Louis Queer Support Helpline. Kendan enjoys being in nature, local coffee shops (but not coffee), banned books, music that makes you feel things, and adventuring with his partner and child.
