Brandy has a long-standing passion for social justice and organized her first protest in the third grade. Never one to accept the status quo, Brandy has dedicated her career to advocacy and education equity. Brandy loves managing and developing thriving teams to ensure each individual reaches their highest potential and achieves maximum impact. She presently serves as a State Representative in Boston for the 12th Suffolk District. Prior to joining the TMC team, Brandy served as the Executive Director of Educators for Excellence Boston, which brings the voices of educators to the policy table. Brandy holds a social work degree and a degree in policy from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University, a graduate degree in education from The Johns Hopkins University, and a law degree from Emory University. She is the founder and president of Delighting in God Ministries (D.I.G.), active in her community, a faithful member of her church, a practicing attorney, and an active member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated. Brandy is also an enthusiastic foodie and traveler!
