The
Management Center provides management assistance and coaching
at subsidized rates to clients and offers publications and
trainings to individuals and organizations within the progressive
nonprofit sector.
Area
of Focus
We focus on a set of straightforward and learnable practices
that enable organizations to achieve and sustain outstanding
results. These practices are the core of management –
how you get work done through other people – and fall
into three main areas:
The
work to be done: Articulating what you want to
achieve with a clear mission statement, creating measurable
goals and clear plans, and translating plans into action
by executing effectively in the day-to-day
The
people to do it: Building a high-performing team
to do the work by hiring, developing, and retaining top
performers and transitioning out low-performers
You
as a manager: Staying organized, dedicating your
time to top priorities, and exercising your authority appropriately
